Ways to cope
Read stories about other children who have experienced what you are going through
Ask your grown-up to try and find a group or an event run by the local hospice, or children's bereavement charity, so you can talk to other children who know what you are going through
Explore with your grown-up the chat spaces on children's bereavement charity website so you can leave messages and see how other children are coping
Your friends won’t be able to fully understand as they have not experienced what is happening to you, but they still can be kind, caring, make you laugh, sit with you when you are sad
If other children are being unkind ask a teacher to talk to them and explain what is going on
